During the 78th National Assoenologi Congress, held in Agrigento, Davide Gangi, founder of Vinoway, was awarded the title of Honorary Member. The plaque, accompanied by the official citation, was presented by Vice President Pierluigi Zama, who read: “For having successfully combined knowledge of the wine world with a technical and methodical approach, contributing to the education and training of an increasingly broad audience, and for having built synergies with key players in the winemaking and restaurant industries. Honored to give this recognition to a kind soul, Davide Gangi.”

“Receiving the title of Honorary Member from Assoenologi is for me a deeply emotional moment and an honor that goes far beyond a formal acknowledgment,” commented Davide Gangi.. “I sincerely thank President Riccardo Cotarella and the entire Executive Board for this gesture, which I feel as an embrace from the great family of Italian enology. I have always believed that wine communication should serve the extraordinary work that oenologists carry out every day—between vineyard and cellar, between science and intuition. This recognition strengthens in me the responsibility and desire to continue telling the story of Italian wine with respect, passion, and truth. It is an important milestone in my journey, which I share with all those who believe in an ethical, cultural, and modern vision of our sector.”

Zama concluded the speech by recalling Gangi’s commitment during the most difficult times: “I had the opportunity to appreciate your work during the Covid period, when you organized meetings by inviting professionals from the sector, and three values of your profile have stayed with me. Your ability to listen, your storytelling skill, and your willingness to step forward with courage. That was one of the first such initiatives. So thank you and congratulations.”
