Franciacorta is a region that allows no shortcuts. Here, quality is measured in time, technical precision, and consistency. Muratori represents a project that has grown in a structured way, combining entrepreneurial culture, agricultural vision, and family responsibility.

At the heart of the company is Bruno Muratori, an entrepreneur from Brescia who has built his solid reputation in the industrial and real estate sectors. He is joined by his brother Giuliano Muratori, with whom he shares his vision and entrepreneurial spirit. Method, planning, and organization guided the family’s entry into the wine sector. Investing in Franciacorta meant entering one of the most suitable and competitive areas for the Metodo Classico.

In 1999, the wine-making project took shape under the name Villa Crespia, the agricultural heart of the company.

In this phase, the foundations for production are laid:
– selection of plots in the various areas of the appellation
– agronomic management of plots
– strict control of yields
– attention to the balance between vegetation and production

The goal is to build a consistent style over time.

Francesco Iacono plays a decisive role in the company’s growth, as a key figure in its operational management and organizational consolidation.

Under his leadership, the following areas were strengthened:
– management structure
– production planning
– quality control throughout the supply chain
– strategic positioning of the brand

Today, the project lives on through the third generation of the family, with Bruno and Giuliano’s children joining the winery: Michela Muratori, Alberto Muratori, Matteo Muratori, and Marco Muratori. Their presence represents continuity and evolution.

Franciacorta originates from morainic soils of glacial origin. Sand, silt, and clay alternate with excellent drainage and good mineral content. Lake Iseo plays a fundamental role in climate mitigation, promoting gradual ripening and preserving acidity and aromatic definition.

The key grape varieties are: Chardonnay, for finesse and verticality, Pinot Noir, for structure and depth, and Pinot Blanc, for balance.

In 2023, during Vinitaly, the company made a decisive change to its identity: the name Villa Crespia gave way to Muratori. This was not simply a rebranding exercise, but a choice made out of a sense of responsibility.

Pier Paolo Chiasso and Riccardo Cotarella are responsible for winemaking. Pressing is gentle and fractionated, fermentation takes place in steel and partly in wood, and the length of time spent on the lees is calibrated according to the type of wine. The Muratori style favors harmony, expressive clarity, and consistency.

I had the opportunity to visit the company myself. What stands out is the organization, order, and operational clarity. The winery is built to ensure consistent quality.

Today, Muratori represents the convergence of solid entrepreneurial roots, structured management, an active new generation, authoritative technical leadership, and a highly specialized territory.

Mettere il proprio cognome in etichetta significa assumersi una responsabilità pubblica. In Franciacorta, questa è la forma più concreta di credibilità.
